Khaa is the modal verb used to introduce all questions in CG. As a standalone verb it is an intransitive vern meaning to be in a state of questioning or wonder. A thing one is quesitoning or wondering about can be introduced with the applicative, often as a verbal complement that may use an irrealis modal coverb. Example:
Khaasumi ssuu pe meetaly garany'ty.
"I wonder if the child is sleeping."
